A snowy retreat for families

Waking up in our glass igloo was pure magic, especially with stunning snowy views and our own hot tub. The kids loved exploring Santa Claus Village nearby.

However, the restaurant felt too formal for our family, and my son’s limited menu options were a letdown. It felt odd paying the same price but getting less. {

The breakfasts were fantastic, and we loved exploring Snowman World with ice slides and skating. Perfect place for a group trip!

The spiral stairs to the upper level were quite steep and could be tricky, especially after a long day.

I had an amazing time unwinding in the private sauna and enjoying the always-ready hot tub after a long day of exploring! The fun relaxation options made it easy to kick back and recharge. Just a heads up, the restaurant felt a bit too formal for my taste, but the food was still top-notch! 😊

Our stay exceeded expectations! The outdoor hot tub against the snowy backdrop was pure bliss. Location-wise, it's somewhat on the outskirts of Santa Claus Village, making luggage transport a bit of a hassle, especially in bad weather. The spiral stairs, while visually appealing, are pretty annoying—narrow steps make moving between levels tricky, especially when carrying anything. To top it off, light pollution from the village hampers the visibility of the northern lights, which is a real letdown for those expecting a stellar sky show. Plus, the TV setup feels poorly designed—small screen positioned far from the seating area, making it hard to enjoy a movie when you're cozying up. Lastly, the half-board dining option lacked choices for kids, which makes it feel exclusive to adults.

The hot tub outside was incredible, especially at night when the snow was falling all around and I was just soaking and looking up at the stars. Plus, the staff were super welcoming and made sure I understood how to use everything in the apartment, it made me feel right at home.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but the experience justifies it.

However, the location had its drawbacks. It's a bit of a trek from the main info center in Santa Claus Village, especially when lugging bags through icy paths. Limited vegetarian options on the menu left me disappointed since I had informed the staff about my dietary preferences. The small TV far from the seating area made it challenging to enjoy a relaxing evening indoors. Also, the spiral stairs to the bedroom were more aesthetic than practical—definitely tricky after a long day of activities. All things considered, a memorable stay with fantastic amenities, but a few tweaks could make it even better.

The food exceeded my expectations, especially the salmon at breakfast which was simply superb. The sauna in my room provided unmatched relaxation after a long day. I also deeply appreciated the warm assistance from the staff, who were quick to cater to my requests. It was a lovely surprise to find such caring individuals among the team. they made my experience feel personal.

Though the dining was fantastic, the lack of diverse vegetarian options was noticeable.
